What in the hell, I’m some kind of ethereal being when I’m online. Sometimes I’m here, sometimes I’m there; but I’m ALWAYS somewhere.
Lately, the only thing I’ve been reliable about updating is my Twitter. Everything I was doing so good on updating before has kind of taken a backseat, this blog and My Year In Discs taking it the hardest. I want to get back to MYID so damn bad, but I get easily sidetracked. I’m determined to get myself back on that horse somehow. All of *that* stuff has gotten shoved aside for a few reasons; first, my role at work (the station) is constantly changing, and a lot of it has to do with online stuff. My new boss had me create Twitter and Facebook pages for my station, and updating both semi-regularly. It’s kind of cool (apparently I’m that “kid who knows the internet stuff”), and at the same time kind of daunting. I dig it, though.
The other main online project I’ve jumped into is a gaming website – actually WRITING at SpawnKill.com. It’s a site started by a friend of mine (Brittany a.k.a. “Molotov Cupcake”) and her friend Steph, and I think they’ve got a good grasp on how things need to be. (Except for the fact that they hired me on as a writer. Ha.) It’s not like it pays or anything, but I’m having fun playing some different games, and flexing my mental muscle by doing something I wasn’t used to doing very often before; writing something that wasn’t a blog post. Hopefully my skills get better, hopefully the site starts to grow, and hopefully momentum stays in our favor.
That’s about all I’ve got right now. I’m slowly but surely climbing out of my bad money situation, and both of my jobs seem to have promising things on the horizon. So if it takes me months to post again, maybe I’ll have some great news. Or… at least SOME news at all.
